The international meeting of the organic industry BioFach/Vivaness was developed successfully in Nurnberg, Germany from 16 to 19 of February. A combination of innovation, creativity and professionalism caught 44,000 visitors from 86 countries from all over the world. The organizers have reported that the vast majority of visitors (97 %) were very pleased by what they saw and experienced in the nine exhibition halls.
The double event in Nuremberg was a clear demonstration of the fact that the organic industry is ready and able to gain more market share and to keep on raising organic turnover. Organic consumption is being turned into mainstream in society, and the intention is to take it increasingly to the younger generation.
On this occasion Greemt was presenting the new retail brand “Las Brisas” from Argentina, with a large range of fruit juices, jams, frozen fruits and vegetables and canned food. The answer of the customers was excellent, and the interest in argentinean organic products is growing through the years.
“No specialist retailer can ever afford to miss BioFach.” The assessment of other exhibitors and visitors in all the halls on Saturday was without exception positive. You could often hear people saying that they were more than usually impressed, particularly by the quality of the discussions with customers. Testimony to the importance of this platform for the industry was the visible presence of the world of politics: more than 100 respresentatives of the international political scene visited BioFach/Vivaness. Also this year, the first regional meeting of politicians responsible for agriculture was held at the fair. “Here the industry is helping to shape nutrition styles and the ecological future of our planet”. Claus Rättich member of the management of NürnbergMesse.
In 2012, BioFach will be held from 15 – 18 February, we must wait for another exceptional organic fair.
