Opportunities in Asian Organic Products Market

Organic product sales are rising across Asia. Growing consumer spending power and concerns about food safety are driving market growth.

Demand for organic foods is outpacing supply. Although the Asian region has over 3 million hectares of organic farmland, mostly primary crops are grown.

Processed organic foods and beverages are mainly coming into the region from western countries to meet burgeoning consumer demand.

Leading retailers are responding to high consumer demand by introducing organic foods in their stores, some under their private labels. The number of organic food shops is also mushrooming in the region.

there is a huge demand for organic product in Asia. Noways, people are becoming more and more health conscious, around 40 to 60 percent of diseases around the world is caused by having non-organic food. in this context there is huge opportunity in producing and launching organic products in the market. moreover, currently there is huge demand for organic products in the world but to meet that demand there is not enough production and because of this consumers are forced to pay very high prices for limited organic products. therefore producing and delivering organic product in the market will lead to decline in the price of organic food as a result people start consuming more organic food and this will ultimately leads to declines in diseases that are caused by having non-organic food. thus, introducing the concept of selling organic food not only will be beneficial to the business person but also will help in improving health condition of people around the world.
