BioFach China 2011 – Shanghai from 26 / 28 May

The big event: 14 % more space and 9 % more exhibitors on 5th birthday: The international players in the organic sector meet for the fifth time in the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai from 26–28 May – and it promises to be a brilliant birthday celebration! Once again, appreciably more exhibitors and visitors than the year before have announced their presence at the INTEX Exhibition Centre – the available space is completely booked up.

342 exhibitors are expected (2010: 313). The manufacturers – 13 % travel extra from abroad – present their products on 3,360 m² this year, which is 14 % more (2010: 2,946). The conference programme in 2011 was also convincing with highly topical issues and sound background knowledge on the Chinese and international organic market.

During his visit to the world-leading exhibition BioFach in Nürnberg in February 2011, Crane Fan, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse China since the beginning of 2011, had announced that the international share of exhibitors and visitors at this year’s BioFach China would grow again. The first part of his forecast has already come true: The organizers of BioFach China again expect more exhibitors and a larger international share of exhibitors at this year’s edition of the only exhibition for certified organic products in the People’s Republic. “We are very happy that BioFach China is showing such good growth and developing splendidly. Our team in Shanghai is still receiving applications, but unfortunately we can only offer these customers a place on the waiting list at present.
We are pleased about this huge response and are looking forward to a wonderful birthday celebration!,” says Crane Fan.

This year’s premieres include an Italian pavilion, in which eight firms from Italy present typical Italian organic products to the visiting professionals under the umbrella of the organic association Consorzio Il Biologico Società Cooperativa. Stands have also been booked by Australian, British, French, Austrian and Swiss firms and a number of German manufacturers.

Top seminar programme and interactive Lohas events
BioFach China has set itself the target of not only promoting export and combining international supply and demand, but also of strengthening the domestic organic market. The awareness of healthy, authentic and organically produced food is growing continuously in China. Visitors thirsting for knowledge find sound information on this in the conference programme at the exhibition. The topics include: Policy and Law for Chinese Organic Food Development, Global Trends, Organic Products and Healthy Life, Analysis and Expansion of the Organic Food Sales Market. Visitors to BioFach China can experience and discover organic products with all senses. Besides the established Lohas Area with activities for an enjoyable, ecological and sustainable lifestyle, part of the programme includes many tastings, for example, in the Italian and Australian pavilion and in the Organic Kitchen.
