German natural cosmetics market still growing strongly

In the run-up to the Natural Cosmetics Conference in Berlin, organizer Elfriede Dambacher rates the growth prospects for the German market very favourably.

The expert sees sales growth for the natural cosmetics segment as similarly positive to last year, according to the online magazine
Bio-Markt.Info. The market for real natural cosmetics had increased by 78 million EUR (11 %) to some 795 million EUR in 2010. The driving forces include private labels and new brands with high-quality products, especially from abroad. Dambacher expects the drugstore sales channel to continue to make high gains, but the specialist cosmetics trade and perfumeries will also make up ground. Further insights into the development of the international natural cosmetics markets will be provided by well-known experts at the Natural Cosmetics Conference on 20–21 September in Berlin.
