The Institute of Beef Promotion of Argentina (IPCVA) led the first export of fresh meat to that country
As part of a series of promotions in the cities of Shanghai and Beijing, IPCVA participated from the 16th to 18th of November with a stand at the “Food and Hotel China”, where visitors enjoyed the Argentinean quality meat through tastings.
Miguel Schiariti, IPCVA vice president, said from China “the importance of joint work between the public and private sectors for the realization of long-term goals that will result in benefits for the country and strengthen the presence of our meats in the markets demanding”.
The IPCVA conducted in 2005 the first actions in China, in order to assist the process of opening up the market and disseminate in the trade sector (importers, distributors and wholesale sector) the qualities of Argentinian beef in a market that was a clear trend towards the incorporation of new products to their eating habits as growing urban population.
Since then, the Institute strengthened its presence in that market, participating in the “International Fair SIAL CHINA”, in trade missions and official visits, organized by the Argentina Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic and the SENASA, with the company of the Embassy of Argentina in Beijing and the Trade Promotion Center in Shanghai.
The Institute is now entering in a new phase in its promotional efforts in order to position our meat to the consumer level in one of the fastest growing markets in the world.
